It’s official: I just filed with the Maryland Board of Elections to run for re-election. 

My name will be on the ballot less than a year from now, and we’ve set a one-day goal to bring in 200 small-dollar contributions to get ready for the race ahead of us. Will you chip in before midnight?

I love Maryland and it’s my privilege to represent the 2nd District in Congress every day.

I want to keep advocating for our values -- like preserving the Chesapeake Bay and reducing violence in our communities -- but Washington Republicans are eyeing blue seats like this one in hopes of flipping the five seats they need to take back the House majority.
