Just yesterday, news outlets across the country reported on President Biden's administration and the Environmental Protection Agency's warnings to Postmaster and Trump crony Louis DeJoy to immediately halt his thoroughly flawed plan to spend almost $12 billion modernizing the United States Postal Service fleet - with gas powered delivery vehicles.

I believe DeJoy has no business being Postmaster General, considering his long list of ethical questions, his willingness to politicize USPS and the handling of ballots in 2020, and his financial interests in businesses that compete with USPS. I do not think he should be making this decision - and I want to hear your opinion about the future of the United States Postal Service. [[link removed]]

Should USPS have an electric fleet? [[link removed]]

As the Chair of the House Oversight subcommittee responsible for USPS, I have been pushing to make it a greener, more environmentally friendly organization for years - while maintaining the incredible quality and levels of service that every American depends on. Considering USPS accounts for almost a third of US Government vehicles, and that DeJoy is using a flawed environmental analysis (and shouldn't be Postmaster), I stand with Biden and the EPA in demanding DeJoy halt this ridiculous plan immediately.

I personally believe that the USPS has an incredible opportunity to become a leader in the green, electric revolution - and that this contract should focus on transitioning the USPS fleet from gas burning to clean electric vehicles. But I truly want to know what you think: do you agree that USPS should go electric, or do you see another alternative for the future of our mail fleet? Let me know in the survey below. Thank you for your continued support, and thank you to all the letter carriers and postal workers who have been absolutely essential to the continued flow of basic goods, services, and supplies throughout this pandemic, and who have been instrumental to our unprecedented economic recovery.

Always in your service,
