Hello John,

Want to support and strengthen the affordable housing movement in the Bay Area? Then submit a nomination today for the 26th Annual NPH Affordable Housing Leadership Awards!

The deadline to submit your nomination is tomorrow, February 4, and the form only takes about 10-15 mins to complete.

Save the Date for the 26th Annual NPH Affordable Housing Leadership Awards happening Thursday, April 28.

The event will be virtual-yet-connected (hopefully our last virtual large event!) because NPH prioritizes your health and safety. But you won’t want to miss out on the fun and connection we’re bringing! (You’ll be notified once registration opens, in late February.)

If you have someone in mind to nominate but are second-guessing yourself – don’t!

We’re excited to honor folks in our industry from a variety of experience levels, backgrounds, and levels of achievement.

And we want to hear from you. Your nomination matters and really makes a difference.

Here are the awards categories, so please decide which one your pick could fall under:

  • Catherine A. Bauer Lifetime Achievement (Someone soon to retire or recently retired who lived a life of service for our movement)
  • Distinguished Public Official/Agency (Which public official or agency has been in our corner and pushes with us for affordable housing solutions?)
  • Inspirational Non-Profit Leader (Know a houser who is extra motivating and inspiring in their work?)
  • Partners in Community Development (Who has gone that extra mile in a community development role?)
  • Philanthropic Leader (Who has been extra generous lately?)
  • Private Sector/Business Leader (Someone in the business community who is setting a great example for our field)
  • Rising Star (A new burgeoning houser!)
  • Unsung Hero (A behind-the-scenes houser! Or a role that is not traditionally recognized formally!)

And please make sure your nomination meets one or some of these criteria:

  • Made significant and long-lasting contributions in our field
  • Advanced racial equity and equitable outcomes
  • Empowered and inspired the community around them
  • Led our work forward with innovation, collaboration, and inclusiveness
  • Strengthened our movement through their advocacy work
  • Centered COVID response and recovery around racial equity
  • Aligns with NPH’s organizational and program priorities and values

I look forward to reviewing your nomination!
