[link removed] [[link removed]]Dear John,
In the coming weeks, Maine’s Judiciary Committee will hold a public hearing on LD 1626 — the bill to restore the Wabanaki tribes’ inherent rights to self-govern.
The Wabanaki are the original people of this place. There is no better way to protect tribal lands and waters than to restore tribal sovereignty. In order to get this bill over the finish line, we need your help.
The Wabanaki Alliance has set a goal to gather 500 written testimonies in support of the bill. This volume will demonstrate the robust support throughout Maine and make an impact on the legislators we need to sway.
Will you be one of the 500 ? It could take just a few minutes and we’ll walk you through the process.

Thank you so much for using your voice to make an impact,
Beth
