Democrats have a real problem,
John.

A razor-thin majority in the Senate has given corporate Democrats Joe
Manchin and Krysten Sinema an outsized role in blocking progress. But it
didn’t have to be like this.

During the 2020 elections, the Democratic party didn’t capitalize on the
people’s demand for economic, social, racial, and environmental justice.
Instead, the Democratic establishment-backed milquetoast, centrist
candidates who were able to fund their campaigns with big checks from
corporations and the ultra-wealthy.

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee endorsed recent Republicans
and corporate candidates over working-class progressives. And despite
raising unprecedented amounts of money (hundreds of millions of dollars),
these establishment Senate candidates lost in several key Senate races.
The Democratic Party backed bad candidates, and now — with Joe Manchin and
Kyrsten Sinema hellbent on obstructing progress — we are suffering the
consequences.

to make transformational change, we need to put working-class progressives
in power.
