John – on this day in 1870, the 15th Amendment that guaranteed the right to vote for every American was ratified.

We believe that the right to vote is essential to our democracy, but the unfortunate truth is that Republican state legislatures across the country are passing record numbers of laws to suppress votes – particularly the votes of people of color.

It’s never been more important that our government put safeguards in place to protect this sacred right. But when given the chance to take meaningful action, Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick voted AGAINST the Freedom to Vote: John Lewis Act to ensure elections are free and fair for all Americans.

As a veteran of both wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Paul Fermo has put his life on the line for our country and to preserve the principles of democracy. We need a representative in DC with integrity – not someone who doesn’t believe in protecting the right to vote.

It’s time we replace Fitzpatrick with a principled leader who puts people first, and in Congress, Paul Fermo will put people above politics every single time. So today, on the 152nd anniversary of the 15th Amendment, will you chip in a few dollars to support our campaign to replace Brian Fitzpatrick?
