Hello Friend,

My name is Beverly Schreiber and I am thrilled to be joining Battle Born Progress and the Institute for a Progressive Nevada as the new Data Manager!

Some of you may know me as that weird girl who got her start in organizing with The Harry Potter Alliance (yes, it’s real), but for those who don’t know me, let me properly introduce myself. I was born and raised in this great state and while I have had the opportunity to work in several states across the country throughout my time in politics, Nevada is where my heart truly lies. I am a proud product of Nevada public schools and graduated from UNLV with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2013. After earning a Master’s degree in Public Administration from NYU, I made the decision to permanently move back to Nevada in 2017 and have spent my time since working to keep our state moving forward.

To tell you that I am excited to join the amazing team at Battle Born Progress would be an understatement; I have so admired the dedication of this team to progressive politics in Nevada and have had the privilege to partner with this wonderful organization through my previous work here, first as an Organizer with Organizing For Action, then as the Nevada State Director for NextGen Nevada, and most recently as the Field Director for the Nevada Assembly Democratic Caucus during the 2020 primaries. Battle Born Progress fights for Nevadans every single day, whether that means stalking the halls in Carson City to pass important legislation or boots on the ground, training and empowering activists on how to be advocates and leaders on the issues that matter most.

In fact, one of my favorite training events of the year is coming up! If you haven’t yet been to a Progressive Summit, you’re missing out. The two-day summit on February 26th & 27th is a great opportunity to learn about the most pressing issues in Nevada this year, while brainstorming with other activists across the state to make sure we are prepared for the 2022 midterm elections. Joining this team is a dream come true and I am excited at the opportunity to be working at the intersection of organizing and data to make sure that our team continues to have the information we need to elevate Nevadan’s voices and continue the fight for a fair and just Nevada. I hope to meet all of you at the summit soon and look forward to working with you to help make sure we win this fight in 2022 and beyond.
