Biden Meets with NYC Mayor Adams on Crime <[link removed]> - The main reason there is a crime problem in New York City is because of the defund/demoralize police movement, and the election of rogue prosecutor Alvin Bragg. If President Biden actually supported law enforcement and the rule of law, he would call on Alvin Bragg and all Soros rogue prosecutors to enforce the law as written, prosecute people who resist arrest, encourage them to require bail in appropriate cases, and to adopt pro-victim policies. Alvin Bragg’s policies are all pro-criminal, anti-victim. Forcing prosecutors to water down felony robbery, residential and commercial burglary, and drug dealing to misdemeanors is pro-criminal, and emboldens criminals. Not allowing people arrested for robbery, burglary, arson, kidnapping, domestic violence and more to be detained prior to trial is pro-criminal. If Biden was serious about crime control, he would denounce George Soros and others financing rogue prosecutors, like Alvin Bragg, George Gascon, Larry Krasner, Chesa Boudin, and Kim Foxx. But Biden won’t do that, as he support rogue prosecutors, as evidenced by the fact that he elevated Rachael Rollins from Boston DA to U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts. China should never have been allowed to host the 2022 Olympics <[link removed]> - This is a global failure to hold the Chinese Communist Party accountable.Moving or postponing the Olympics would have sent the message that there are major consequences for committing genocide and crimes against humanity. The Biden administration failed to lead a global effort to shed light on the CCP’s grave human rights abuses, genocide against the Uyghurs, and coronavirus cover-up. The 2022 Olympics represented a major opportunity to shame the CCP and put global pressure on the regime. Both during and following the games, the U.S. must capitalize on growing domestic and international political will to hold China accountable for its many human rights abuses. Heritage Experts: Dean

8 Problems With San Jose’s Gun Insurance Mandate and Gun Ownership Tax <[link removed]>- Lawful gun ownership in San Jose, California, is about to become more expensive and onerous after the City Council passed a measure <[link removed]>
imposing two unprecedented burdens on the possession of firearms inside city limits. Beginning later this year, San Jose’s lawful gun owners will be required to maintain “a homeowner’s, renter’s, or gun liability insurance policy … specifically covering losses or damages resulting from any negligent or accidental use” of their firearms. Gun owners also must pay an annual “Gun Harm Reduction
Fee”—an as-yet undetermined amount that officials suggest <[link removed]> will be roughly $25 a year. City officials claim these are necessary steps that will save lives by incentivizing responsible gun ownership practices while making gun owners foot the bill for the financial costs of gun violence. In reality, the new law imposes unnecessary burdens on lawful gun owners and are
unlikely to save taxpayers a single dollar, much less save a single life. Heritage Expert: Amy

California kills single-payer health care bill that would double state taxes <[link removed]> - Since 2017, this is the second time that self-styled “progressives” in the California state legislature promised that if they could only control the financing and delivery of medical services, they could guarantee all
Californians better quality of care at a cheaper price. Their Democratic colleagues obviously do not believe it and are not ready to double Californians’ taxes on such a gamble. The prospect of big taxes and economic disruption doomed similar efforts in Colorado, New York and even very “blue” Vermont. Members of Congress who are sponsoring national legislation to outlaw private and employer-sponsored coverage and create a similar program should pause. But don’t bet on it. Meet the Georgia State Representative Fighting to Keep CRT Out of Schools <[link removed]> - As critical race theory <[link removed]> continues to attract national attention, one Georgia lawmaker is trying to pass legislation to ensure it stays out of the Peach State’s schools. Education <[link removed]> has become the most visible battleground where the left is fighting to influence the future of the country. White children don’t need to be told they’re inheriting the legacy of racists and bigots. They should be told they’re the descendants of flawed people who slowly but surely struggled towards a better future for all Americans. And minority children’s minds shouldn’t be polluted with dangerous notions that they can never achieve the American dream because they will never be allowed to succeed. That fight to end CRT is worth it. Heritage Expert: Douglas Blair <[link removed]>
‘This Place Is Supposed to Be Open’: Bar Owner Emotionally Shares Why He’s Defying DC’s Vaccine Mandate <[link removed]> - While The Daily Signal has heard from multiple frustrated and angry restaurant owners, The Big Board appears to be the only bar in the nation’s capital to openly defy Mayor Muriel Bowser’s mandate <[link removed]> that bars and restaurants require patrons to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19. After determining that the bar failed to enforce masks and check patrons’ vaccine cards, the D.C. Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration on Friday suspended <[link removed]> The Big Board’s liquor license. But owner and veteran Eric Flannery is refusing to back down from his decision not to discriminate against any of his customers.
