Before Sean was elected, the people of IL-06 were represented by a Congressman who hadn't held a town hall in more than ten years.
When Sean ran for office, he promised to be transparent and accessible to his constituents.
And he's lived up to that promise:
Since his election, Sean's visited more than 25 towns to speak with members of the community.
And he hosted his first town hall within 10 Days of taking office.
January 13, Wheaton: For the first time in more than a decade, 300+ people came out to engage with their Congressman.
February 9, Glen Ellyn: Sean attended a Chicago Area Sjogren's Syndrome Support Group meeting to learn how he can legislatively assist those living with Sjogren's Syndrome -- a disorder that affects more than 1 million Americans.
March 16, Palatine: He met constituents while walking in the Palatine "Paint the Town Green" St. Patrick's Day Parade.
April 13, Deer Grove Forest Preserve: Sean joined 100+ other volunteers to help clear brush with the Sierra Club of Northwest Cook County and the Deer Grove Natural Area Volunteers at their annual Earth Day event.
May 12, Barrington: Sean hosted an Infrastructure Panel to discuss the financial impact of infrastructure investment on local Illinois communities and economies with 50+ attendees.
June 22, Naperville: Sean co-hosted an LGBTQ Awareness Discussion Panel with 50+ attendees.
July 13, Naperville: Sean co-hosted a Climate Change Forum, where 400 people gathered to hear from experts and ask questions about the impacts of climate change.
Sean looks forward to meeting more of his constituents and hearing their concerns as he continues to travel throughout IL-06.
However, he knows that not everyone will get the chance to attend a town hall in person -- And those people still deserve to be heard.
That's why our team sent out a quick online issue survey last month. If you haven't had a chance yet, please take a moment to share your thoughts with Sean →
