Chalk up another win for the Brick Wall Caucus.

The Brick Wall Caucus has been working hard to defend our progress and protect Virginians from Glenn Youngkin and his far-right administration’s radical and harmful agenda, but the Virginia GOP are doing their best to try and tear us down.

The Senate Committee in charge of approving Glenn Youngkin’s cabinet nominees just struck down his pick for Secretary of Natural and Historic Resources, Andrew Wheeler, the Trump EPA Chief sued more than six times for damages his policies caused to the Chesapeake Bay.

Now, Republican members of the General Assembly are threatening to hold up two Supreme Court nominees unless Andrew Wheeler is confirmed as the next Secretary of Natural and Historic Resources.

The full Senate votes on Andrew Wheeler’s nomination later this week and it’s going to be close. With a 21-19 split, we need to show the Brick Wall Caucus that we’ve got their back and the rest of the Senate that Virginians will not compromise on protecting our environment and combating climate change.
