Hey John,
This is the day! Today the Supreme Court of the United States will hear oral arguments challenging the Trump administration’s decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in 2017. As the Supreme Court is hearing arguments on whether or not to uphold DACA, we will be rallying outside the court and around the country to make it clear that we stand with all the young immigrants whose #HomeIsHere.
When the program was ended in 2017 it endangered the futures of almost 800,000 young immigrants (Dreamers) who’d grown up in the U.S. Today, legal advocates will make the case for this highly successful program. DACA has allowed so many young people to continue going to school, to work, and to start families of their own without fear of deportation. They are members of our communities and we stand with them.
