Just under a year ago, I launched this campaign with no expectations of where it could go — all I knew is that I wanted to give this fight everything I’ve got because the people of our district deserve better in Washington.

The 2021 fundraising numbers were reported by the FEC (Federal Election Commission) and I am thrilled to say that together, we were the top-fundraising Democratic campaign in this race.
You made that possible. Whether you gave a little, gave a lot, or somewhere in between, this is because of you. Even if you haven’t given yet, becoming a part of our movement has made it stronger.
By now, you probably know I don’t accept a dime from corporations and corporate PACs looking to make a profit from their influence.
That’s why your support means so much. Every single dollar coming from a grassroots donor like you has gotten this far. To be honest, folks, I’m just blown away by it all.
I’m a U.S. Navy veteran, a former Ironworker, and now a working actor. Like a lot of you, my path hasn’t always been conventional. I didn’t expect I’d ever get into politics.
But I come from experiences where I formed a deep sense of solidarity and service. Knowing I could put that to use and fight for a better future for folks in the Central Valley is what pushed me to serve this country one more time — by running for Congress.
