I wanted to give you an update on our campaign, as a lot has changed over the last 48 hours. There are now four Republicans running against Sen. Blumenthal including a serious new challenger — a statehouse insider — the former Republican Minority Leader.

She was pushed to run by Republican Party leaders and even supported by Fox News darling Laura Ingraham.

Whoever wins the Republican primary, national Republicans have made their intentions clear. They are targeting Dick Blumenthal. Mitch McConnell wants to take back control of the Senate and he thinks his path goes straight through Connecticut.

We can’t let that happen.
