Celebrate Black History Month

John,

As we kick off Black History Month, we want to make sure you know about the incredible Black candidates running for Congress across the country.

Together, these candidates represent some of the most competitive House districts – and we need their voices in Congress.

Split a donation today between Hold the House and Jahana Hayes, Sanford Bishop, Lauren Underwood, Steven Horsford, and Antonio Delgado to support their battleground races.

The first Black woman to represent Connecticut in Congress, Jahana Hayes (CT-05) is not your average politician. She was recognized as the National Teacher of the Year in 2016 and has been an outspoken advocate for education funding.

Sanford Bishop (GA-02), with deep roots in Southwest and Middle Georgia, has fought for federal funding for his community as a member of the House Appropriations Committee.

Lauren Underwood (IL-14) made history in 2018 when she became the youngest Black woman elected to Congress. As a registered nurse, Lauren’s healthcare-focused leadership has made her an excellent representative of her district.

The working families of Nevada’s Fourth District need a champion like Steven Horsford (NV-04). He’s been a tireless advocate for expanding affordable healthcare, economic opportunity, and job programs.

As the only Democrat running in a swing district in all of New York State, Antonio Delgado (NY-19) has an uphill battle ahead of him. But he doesn’t let partisan games get in the way of serving his community.

By investing $25 or whatever you can between Hold the House and their campaigns this Black History Month, you can ensure these Black candidates will have the resources they need to plan for victory in November.

Thank you,

Hold the House
