Last Thursday, Rev. Yearwood and Rep. Jayapal joined me for our January edition of Policy + Pints (if you haven't joined us before, the name of the event says it all)—and Friend, it was special.

Then, Rep. Jayapal broke news when she urged Congress to pass the climate investments and more from the Build Back Better Act by March 1st. As Chairwoman of the Progressive House Caucus, her support is huge. She's not giving up on any of the urgent and necessary components of the Build Back Better Act. But she's committed to passing everything that has full Senate support ASAP, and that's the transformative climate investments, as well major investments in health care and the care economy.

After last Thursday, we're even more fired up to pass this broadly supported and crucially necessary climate legislation. By coming together like this, we're creating a community of activists and policymakers inspired to create the livable future we need—and reminding each other what that future will look like.
