Last night I got a call with good news from my finance director, Kai. Our numbers for January are in and we blew past our budget goal by a significant margin. 

In January, more than 1600 individuals supported this insurgent campaign with an average donation of $24.32. While my opponent has brought in hundreds of thousands from anti-democratic corporate PACs, this campaign remains entirely grassroots funded. 

It’s you that have gotten us to where we stand today. The fact that you along with so many others have come out in support of this campaign tells me that what we are doing is working and that we can keep stepping on the gas. 

Our lights have been kept on and our work continues. We won’t let you down.
