I believe that access to clean drinking water is a right and not a privilege.
Every parent should know that if they put a glass of water on the dinner table it’s safe to drink.
But from lead in pipes to toxic PFAS chemicals, too many Michiganders don’t have access to clean water — all in the state that’s home to one third of the country’s fresh water.
That’s why the state budget we proposed funds critical protections to ensure everyone in our state has access to clean, safe drinking water — but Lansing Republicans are enjoying their summer vacations without even taking a vote on our budget.
If you agree that it’s time to pass a budget that finally ensures all Michiganders have access to clean drinking water, then add your name:
Safe drinking water should never be used as a political football or a partisan issue.
This is about the safety and security of every single Michigander.
It’s time for our state to do the right thing and ensure that our drinking water is clean and safe for everyone — sign our petition if you agree:
Let’s get this done.
