Friend,

As you know, the election did not go as we hoped: HQ is conducting an analysis of what happened and I will keep you updated.

That being we still received over 1,200 votes locally and 300,000 nationally! This is more than the Green Party in any of its first 6 elections and more than the Reform in its first (in absolute numbers).

Now that the dust has settled, we have a few house-keeping items in order. Over the coming weeks we will:
- complete financial returns for the election periods and renew our registration as an EDA with Elections Canada
- send out your donation receipts (if anyone is interested in taking on the role of financial agent and helping with this, you would be greatly appreciated!)
- schedule a general meeting including both a thank you event for our supporters and election of our executive and board for the coming year

I am convinced that we have one of the most motivated, engaged, and principled bases of any political party (just look at our disproportionate impact on social media): it has been my privilege to serve as your president over the past year.
