Veterans Casework Highlight
Our district is home to nearly 70,000 veterans. If you are a veteran living in Arizona's Eighth District, my office is here to help. I have a dedicated staffer in my office for veterans and active duty military. Here's a recent veteran we have helped.
A disabled veteran and his wife contacted my office because she and her husband were not able to get a hearing or even get any information on the status of their file despite traumatic brain injuries and multiple health diagnoses that required surgery. We reached out to Social Security Hearing Operations and requested expedited scheduling of the hearing based on the veteran’s circumstances. The veteran got a hearing, and the judge fast tracked processing of his claim. Including both backpayment of benefits and their first monthly installment, the veteran received $27,476.00.
