Before our fundraising deadline on Monday night, my team and I sent out a number of emails asking supporters to make a donation to this campaign.

I want to thank all of you. Without you, running this campaign would be impossible.

It’s not my favorite thing to have to reach out and ask for money. But this campaign is powered by grassroots support. No corporate PAC money. That’s why these deadlines and goals really matter. It means a lot to me that so far, over 1,200 supporters have stepped up and made their first donation.

I’m proud that we are running a campaign powered by workers, parents, educators, and California families. Together, we are building something special. And I promise to be a voice in Congress for the priorities that matter.
