# [#] Last week, I filed a lawsuit against Google for deceptively tracking its consumers.

My team discovered that even after Google users turned off “Location History” in their account settings, the company still collects your location data and sells this information as part of its billion-dollar advertising profit.

Location data is deeply personal for all internet users. Consumers should be able to easily choose whether or not they will allow Google to track their information.

Google communicates to its users that once “Location History” is disabled, the company no longer stores the user’s location. This is not true. In fact, location data is collected under an entirely separate setting called “Web & App Activity.”

This deceptive behavior violates the Consumer Protection Act and this lawsuit will fight for justice by ending this practice and ordering Google to pay monetary penalties, relinquish the profits made from this deception, and more.

Google must be held accountable for these unfair and deceptive practices.
