Dear Friend,
We all need water to live healthy, productive lives. Our national parks are no different. The health of America's national parks depends upon the health of the waters that surround and flow through them. These waters provide a home for fish and wildlife, offer recreational opportunities for millions of visitors, and—in many cases—are central to a parks' unique character and values.
Fortunately, we have laws to protect our waters from pollution that threatens our parks and our health. They help us hold polluters accountable and make sure our waters can continue to sustain life—ours included.
Please urge the Environmental Protection Agency to make our Clean Water Act protections stronger.
Right now, big polluters like mining and corporate farms are arguing to not protect smaller rivers, streams and wetlands. We can't pick and choose which waters are more important than others because they are all connected. They need protection.
Urge the Environmental Protection Agency to do their job to restore and maintain the chemical, physical, and biological integrity of the Nation's waters.
Anything less will be devastating for our parks and health.
Thank you for all that you do for our parks,

Chad Lord Sr. Director of Environmental Policy and Climate Change
