Leaked Notes Reveal How Unprepared Biden Was to Evacuate Afghan Nationals Who Helped U.S.
From the story: The meeting notes highlight how many crucial actions the Biden administration was deciding at the last minute — just hours before Kabul would fall and former Afghan President Ashraf Ghani would flee his palace in a helicopter. Later: Mark Jacobson, deputy NATO representative in Afghanistan during the Obama administration, told Axios: “That so much planning, prioritizing and addressing of key questions had not been completed, even as Kabul was about to fall, underscores the absence of adequate interagency planning.”

Biden Stopped Black Woman from Supreme Court Decades Ago
Back in his days as a senator and before he needed a large chunk of the black vote. From the story on Janice Rogers Brown: … when Justice Sandra Day O’Connor announced her retirement, Brown was on Bush’s shortlist to replace her. She would have been the first Black woman ever nominated to serve as an associate justice of the Supreme Court. But Biden appeared on CBS’s “Face the Nation” to warn that if Bush nominated Brown, she would face a filibuster. “I can assure you that would be a very, very, very difficult fight and she probably would be filibustered,” Biden said. Asked by moderator John Roberts “Wasn’t she just confirmed?,” Biden replied that the Supreme Court is a “totally different ballgame” because “a circuit court judge is bound by stare decisis. They don’t get to make new law.”

Whoopi Continues Spreading Ignorance
Whoopi did it again. She followed up her apology with more proof she remains shockingly ignorant. Shortly after she told Colbert people “ misunderstood what I was saying” she told him near the end of this clip Nazis “ had issues with ethnicity, not with race, because most of the Nazis were white people, and most of the people they were attacking were white people. So, to me, I’m thinking, ‘How can you say it’s about race if you are fighting each other?‘” Video is in the link ( Twitter). From Abigail Shrier : If you support dividing the Jewish people into “White Jews” & “Jews of Color,” you are partially responsible for this catastrophe of ignorance ( Twitter). From Seth Mandel: I will never stop laughing at Colbert saying “That’s why they made you wear a star.” Absolutely cannot make this stuff up. The US educational system produces a lot of comedy ( Twitter).

As Part of Demands Over Ilya Shapiro, Students Want “Place to Cry”
From the story: The aggressive cancellation campaign against Ilya Shapiro continues. On Monday, Georgetown Law dean William Treanor announced that Shapiro would be put on administrative leave from his new post at the law school’s Center for the Constitution, pending an investigation into a series of tweets that Shapiro posted on January 26 criticizing the use of racial preferences in Supreme Court nominations. But student activists were unsatisfied. On the heels of a Georgetown Black Law Student Association petition calling for Shapiro’s termination, a message went out last night announcing that “a coalition of Georgetown Law Students will gather for a sit-in calling for the immediate termination of Ilya Shapiro and for the administration to address BLSA demands” ( National Review). From David Harsanyi: THESE ARE LAW STUDENTS. God help us ( Twitter). From Dan McLaughlin: The whole story illustrates the depressingly illiberal & irrational condition of a subset of elite law students ( Twitter).
