Friend,
I’m a point guard. For those of you who might not be familiar with the lingo, in addition to typically being the shortest player on the team (at least in my case!), the point guard is responsible for driving the offense. We bring the ball up the court, call out the play we want to run, and execute it.
What does it take to be a successful point guard? Vision and teamwork. That’s also what it takes to run a successful campaign. Check out my interview from On the Record this weekend to hear more about how I’m bringing the lessons I’ve learned on the basketball court to this race.

As a point guard, you need to see the full court, identify opportunities and weaknesses, and make split-second decisions about how to reach your goal. You lift up your teammates and anticipate challenges.
I’m taking that same approach to our campaign for Governor. I see the challenges our communities are facing and the opportunities before us. Our commitment to teamwork means no one gets left behind. We’re going to leverage all of the unique strengths of our diverse communities to come back stronger than before.
But I need an assist from you to spread the word. If you agree that we need a point guard as Governor, will you watch and share this video clip? [[link removed]]
Thanks for all you do,
Maura
