In a recent ABC/Washington Post poll, it was reported “a majority of Democrats say they have not firmly made up their minds on whom to support, with about 1 in 10 having no current preference and about half of Democrats who do support someone saying they would consider supporting another candidate.”

There is more energy on the ground for my campaign than there has ever been, and for good reason. People understand that we have to do more than tell the truth, both to win the election next year and in order to win America’s future. We have to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. And that is our campaign. Only outrageous truths defeat outrageous lies.

Our conversations about economic justice, rescuing millions of vulnerable children, a WWII level mass mobilization to end climate change, reparations for historical wrongs, declaring peace, creating health as well as healthcare, and expanding our economy are resonating like never before. People are waking up to the crucial importance of our message: we need a season of moral repair.

The goodness of the American people should be reflected in our public policy, and we can make that happen. According to President Franklin Roosevelt, the most important role of the presidency is “moral leadership,” and I’m prepared to provide it.
