It was great to see Donald Trump back in Texas again this weekend. I've worked to help him build the Border Wall and pass his America First agenda. Here's what he said at the rally:
"What a wonderful guy -- Congressman Louie Gohmert! This is a man who has been a friend of mine from Day 1."
And I'll tell you something about this race for Attorney General -- Ken Paxton must be worried… that’s why he’s attacking me, lying and increasingly desperate.
First Paxton claimed I was running to get Bush elected. What a bunch of nonsense. Now he lies about my voting record and said I'm not conservative??
That's wild. The people who know me best, especially East Texans and so many great groups like Mark Levin's Conservative Review, know the truth -- I've been one of the most conservative members in Congress throughout my service.
Paxton's ridiculous lies are an attempt to deflect attention because he has been fined by the state securities board, indicted for securities fraud, and is currently under federal investigation for bribery and corruption.
You know the Democrats would try to remove him after the Primary. We can’t give the Attorney General’s office to the Left!
Keep in mind that President Trump endorsed Paxton *before I got in the race* but Trump has been VERY positive about me as well, and I’m honored.
