As the daughter of a man who spent his career in the United States Air Force, I know first hand the importance of supporting our veterans.

In the United States, those who’ve put themselves in harm’s way to protect their fellow Americans should never be without the care they need.

That’s why I support providing all of our veterans with world-class health care, strong pension benefits, and the tools to smoothly transition to civilian life. That’s why I drafted legislation that will help veterans access legal services. That’s why I have made the subject of growing numbers of veterans committing suicide a top priority, and am working with the Administration on solutions.

This Veterans Day, I hope you’ll join me in commemorating the brave people who have risked their lives to serve our country. Let’s show them their service will not go unrecognized.
