Thanks to your contributions and advocacy, FPC is able to pursue legal action against a variety of infringements on our constitutional rights.

We recently announced our lawsuit against the United States government challenging the wrongful denial of an individual's application to purchase a firearm.

Core to our argument is the federal government's unacceptable burden-shifting policies and practices which force gun buyers to prove they are not prohibited persons under the law. 

Unequivocally, it is the government's burden to prove that a person may not exercise their fundamental, individual right to keep and bear arms. The government’s backwards approach violates both the Second Amendment and the Fifth Amendment.

FPC intends to hold these tyrants to the limits placed on them in the Constitution. You can read more about this critical case in today's announcement of FPC's filing Newton v. United States.
