FEBRUARY NEWSLETTER
Hi, John.
Welcome to our first newsletter of 2022!
Our February Meeting
Please join us on Tuesday, February 8 at 7pm ET! This will be our first meeting of the year and will be an opportunity for us to strategize about what 2022 will look like - both in terms of MCYD programming and in terms of electoral priorities. As in 2018 and 2020, Morris County will be home to two of the most competitive Congressional races in the country, so we hope you’ll help us do what we can to send Reps. Tom Malinowski and Mikie Sherrill back to Congress in November. Sign up here to join us on Tuesday, February 8th!
Annual Dues
The Morris County Young Democrats exist as a home for young Democrats interested in getting politically engaged in their community. We create opportunities for young people to network with one another, pay for voter contact activities such as text banking on behalf of Democratic candidates across the county, and donate to exceptional candidates through our candidate award process in September.
All of those things are possible in part because of the support of young people like you. We hope you will continue to support the Young Dems by paying the $5 annual dues here and continuing your membership with the MCYD.
MCDC Caucuses
The Morris County Democratic Committee has recently launched a caucuses program to help folks get more involved with the Democratic party. They will be developing the following caucuses:
- Black Caucus
- Hispanic/Latinx Caucus
- AAPI Caucus
- Veterans Caucus
- Seniors Caucus
- Disabilities Caucus
- Interfaith Caucus
If you are interested in participating in any of them or just want to learn more, reach out to MCDC Political Director Elliot Schneier at [email protected] or visit the MCDC website here.
