Hey there, supporters of a better justice system,

I want to give you a quick campaign update for January.

We hit the ground running last month. Here are some of the highlights-
* I had the opportunity to meet with Lake County, Illinois State's Attorney Eric Rinehart, who was gracious enough to carve out some time to speak with me. His office is implementing a number of brilliant, forward thinking policies and I learned a lot from our conversation. I appreciate his encouragement and support of our campaign!
* We had a successful canvass launch yesterday (see photos below) and we’ll begin textbanking and phonebanking operations in a week or so
* We hired a (paid) student intern and a field organizer!


We can win this race and reform our criminal and juvenile justice systems, but it’s going to take all of us working together. I need your donations and volunteer hours. No dollar amount or time spent volunteering is too small, it all adds up.
