John — Yesterday, Henry Cuellar gave an interview for the first time since his home and campaign office was raided by the FBI.
However, not much of anything happened. When asked about his ties with Azerbaijan and the overseas trips that he arranged himself, all he said was “this is an ongoing investigation and we will be cooperating and show that there was no wrongdoing.”
South Texans deserve answers. They shouldn’t have to wonder whether their representative is truly looking out for their interests or his own. Simply put: Texas’ 28th district deserves better, and Henry Cuellar has got to go.

It’s safe to bet that voters in Texas’ 28th District will think twice about casting a ballot for Cuellar after hearing about the investigation.
But we can’t bet on winning just because Cuellar is under investigation by the FBI.
Why? Because he still has a lot of resources to keep his campaign afloat from his corporate donors. He just released his FEC report and has $2.3 million in campaign cash to spend. And right now, he’s outraising us by hundreds of thousands and says that he’s “determined to win.”
The truth is that 88% of House races were won by the top spending candidate. Unless we see a huge surge, that’ll be Henry Cuellar. So, what do you say, John? Can we count on your help?
