Sign Our Petition

Dear John,

We are still waiting on Congress to act in the best interests of older Americans …

The Build Back Better Act that is now effectively stalled in the Senate would have reined in the power of Big Pharma to charge consumers whatever they want for lifesaving drugs and expanded Medicare to cover hearing exams and hearing aids. Incredibly, this historic legislation was blocked by Democratic Senators Joe Manchin (WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (AZ), and all 50 Republican Senators.

But there is a path forward. That’s why I hope you’ll help me put pressure on all members of Congress today to get back to the negotiating table and pass urgently needed legislation to help lower the high cost of prescription drugs.

Please sign our Emergency Petition today urging your members of Congress to immediately support legislation that would, among other measures, allow Medicare to negotiate the price of prescription drugs directly with drugmakers (currently forbidden under the law).

Already this year, drug companies have raised the prices on more than 450 prescription drugs! There must be swift action to tame the punishing prices that force older Americans to forgo necessary medications, to ration pills or to choose between prescription drugs and other essentials — like rent and groceries.

That’s why during this critical election year, we need our elected officials to know that lowering drug costs is a TOP PRIORITY of voters of like you. So please sign our Urgent Petition today and demand action on high drug costs.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and so-called “fiscal hawks” in Congress remain committed to shielding Big Pharma from drug pricing reforms, while working to keep in place massive tax cuts that benefit wealthy Pharma executives.

Don’t let Congress off the hook! We need meaningful drug pricing reforms now! Please help us remind the politicians in Washington who they really work for by signing our Petition today!

Sincerely,

Max Richtman
President & CEO
