We're
Not Going To Play This Game
Actions speak louder than words.
Florida is fortunate to have Governor DeSantis leading our state
forward. Biden Democrats are in a tailspin because they are
responsible for high inflation and gas prices, empty store shelves,
defunding the police and increases in crime, critical race theory,
lockdowns and unlawful mandates. They know it – but most importantly –
Floridians know it too.
In a lame attempt to deflect
from their significant and numerous failures, Biden Democrats are
calling Republicans Nazis. Like Governor DeSantis said, “We’re not
going to play the game.”
(https://twitter.com/FloridaGOP/status/1488544326527459333) The
truth is on his side.
With mere months into his
administration, Governor DeSantis supported significant funding for
the safety and security of Jewish Day schools in Florida because
parents should not have to worry about the safety of their children
based on their faith. Discriminatory policies such as BDS are DOA
under Governor DeSantis. Airbnb initially implemented this bigoted
policy against the State of Israel and then rightfully removed it
after Governor DeSantis announced appropriate repercussions. After Ben
& Jerry’s refused to sell their ice cream products in Judea and
Samaria, their parent company, Unilever, was placed on Florida’s List
of Scrutinized Companies that Boycott Israel.
On the other hand, Democrats
in Florida and throughout the United States, keep oddly silent when
anti-Semitic members of congress such as Ilhan Omar and Rashid Tlieb
spew hateful rhetoric against people of Jewish descent and faith. They
join with Hamas to support those who seek the destruction of Israel
and the Jewish people. Nancy Pelosi and Bernie Sanders support the
opposition to Israel’s right to exist and to defend themselves. Nikki
Fried demeaned the terror and pain of the Holocaust by comparing
conservatives and Governor DeSantis to Nazis and Hitler. Neither
Charlie Crist nor any other Democrat in a position of leadership
within the party stood up and decried Fried’s ignorance.
Actions speak louder than
words. Governor DeSantis’ actions demonstrate that he is a leader for
all and will vigorously defend against racism, hate crimes and
injustice. This is particularly true in defense of the Jewish people
either in Florida or in Israel. Under Governor DeSantis’ leadership,
the State of Florida will not tolerate any discrimination against our
Israeli friends and the Jewish people.
