I wanted to take this moment to thank you all personally for your support. Thanks to supporters like you, in the past month alone, we’ve raised over $500k — making January our best fundraising month of all time.

The energy fueling this campaign is truly at an all time high, and I could not be more optimistic about the future of this campaign and all that we will accomplish going forward. As we head into this new month — a month that is particularly meaningful to myself and all of us on Team King — I wanted to take a moment to share a bit about why this race is so personal to me.

In this time of deep systemic inequality, now more than ever we need inspiring and hopeful candidates representing us in the governor's mansion. John is a rare candidate who not only understands how critical the need is for diverse leadership at this moment, but he has the lived experiences to transform Maryland into a more equitable state for all of us.

In the coming weeks, John, the team and I look forward to sharing more about what this month means to us and the significance it raises as we have the historic opportunity to elect Maryland’s first Black governor. Until then, thank you again for all that you do as a crucial member of this team.
