Since the announcement of Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer’s retirement, President Biden has reaffirmed his campaign pledge to nominate a Black woman to fill the vacancy – and with several stellar, highly-qualified candidates available, President Biden has ample potential nominees to choose from.
Meanwhile, far-right Senate Republicans are getting ready to do everything they can to obstruct President Biden’s nominee from moving forward, but as People For prepares for what is likely to be a grueling confirmation battle, we want to get YOUR feedback on what issues are important to you in filling this vacancy.

We are reinvigorated by the potential that the nomination will bring for our movement and our nation – and with cases impacting some of our fundamental rights before the court now or in the near future, this moment couldn’t come at a better time.
Your input, advocacy, and support will be crucial in fending off unwarranted and baseless attacks from the Far Right as many right-wing pundits are already smearing an unnamed nominee as “radical” – immediately undermining their own credibility but providing just a preview of what we expect to be a hostile confirmation process.
