Yesterday was our first end-of-month deadline of the year. We needed to raise $250,000 online to stay on plan to defeat Chuck Grassley in November.

I’m happy to report that with the help of over 10,800 generous donors like you, we didn’t just hit our goal, we crushed it! This is how we are going to turn Iowa blue in ‘22.

Political pundits agree that this race is one of the most important in the entire country. Why? Two reasons: Sen Grassley has morphed into a backseater for McConnell and a Trump-fringe advocate more concerned with evading justice than legislating. Secondly, winning this seat means that Democrats will maintain control of the Senate.

With our slim 50-50 Democratic majority on the line, we must win this election. I’m putting everything I’ve got into criss-crossing the state, meeting with voters, getting nods of approval, and fundraising to reach every Iowan before this November.

If we are going to combat the climate crisis, take on the NRA, stand up to Big Pharma, and prepare Iowa to be the most education-focused, worker-friendly, and environmentally-attuned state in the Midwest, then we need to expand our Democratic majority.
