CAGW is making a difference! Here’s how.

Dear John,

On Facebook Live today, February 1, 2022, Citizens Against Government Waste President Tom Schatz will host a conversation with Federal Communications Commissioner Brendan Carr.  The event will take place on Facebook Live at 2:00 p.m. EST.

Commissioner Carr is the senior Republican at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and has served at the agency since 2012.  Confirmed in August 2017 as a Commissioner, he brings to the FCC more than 20 years of experience in telecommunications law and is focused on expanding the skilled workforce to build the next generation networks.  Described by Axios as “the FCC’s 5G crusader,” Commissioner Carr leads the agency’s efforts to modernize infrastructure rules and accelerate buildout of high-speed networks.  His reform efforts have cut billions of dollars in red tape, enabled the private sector to construct high-speed networks in communities across the country, and extended America’s global leadership in 5G.

Tom and Commissioner Carr will, among other issues, discuss spectrum issues currently facing the country, broadband deployment funding allocated through passage this past year of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, and efforts to contain waste, fraud, and abuse of programs intended to help low-income Americans access the internet.

To watch this live conversation, please go to www.facebook.com/CAGW. The event will also be archived on our Facebook page if you are unable to view it live.

We hope to see you there!

Sincerely,
Paul Sullivan
Director of Membership
