Jack,
A decade ago, corrupt politicians and corporate backers throughout southern states started gerrymandering — rigging electoral maps to suppress the voting power of entire communities.
Now — a decade later — that fight is coming to a head in North Carolina.
The case for fair maps is going to the N.C. Supreme Court next Wednesday — we need all hands on deck to ensure that voters in N.C. and everywhere have the power to elect the representation they deserve.
Sign Carolina Federation's petition if you believe that it’s the people who must decide who represents North Carolinians and it’s the people who get to decide who represent the nation in Congress. >>

The choices for the court are clear:
Side with corrupt politicians who draw rigged maps that suppress the electoral power of entire communities.
Or put voters first by ensuring that they can elect representation that matches their own needs.
All that’s missing is our demands for a free and fair democracy in the hands of the Court Justices before they make a potentially catastrophic decision for all of us.
Time is limited — sign our petition demanding that the N.C. Supreme court require fair maps that defend our democracy and put voters first. >>

Racist and biased gerrymandering draws lines right through where established communities live and thrive, fracturing their voting power wholesale.
Jack, add your name — we can’t miss this massive opportunity to defend voting communities in N.C. and, in turn, our entire democracy. >>

Voting communities in North Carolina have had to witness politicians use their power to suppress and divide their electoral power for far too long.
Where we go from here depends on us, the people who make our democracy work, and there’s more than enough reason to believe we can turn the tide on corrupt maps.
Without the tireless organizing and activism of voting rights advocates from across the country, there is no way we would be seeing the case for fair maps in front of the highest court in N.C.
Corrupt politicians and their special interest groups are sweating due to the groundswell of public opinion that clearly opposes gerrymandering. A recent poll showed that over 90% of North Carolina voters don’t want rigged maps, even if they favor their political party.
The verdict is clear: the people want voting policies that are transparent, unbiased, and that limit the influence of corporations and special interest groups.
Sign Carolina Federation's petition: join the people of N.C. in demanding fair maps and a free democracy where voters come first. >>

We cannot allow the 2022 midterms to be defined by those who oppose our right to free and fair elections.
