Dear Supporter,

Today, we honor our armed forces and the courageous men and women who volunteer as warriors to protect our freedom. North Carolina has more than 700,000 Veterans and I promise you that I am committed to serving them and their families to the best of my ability.

Here's to all the brave men and women who stood a post or fought for our democratic freedoms. Let us honor them everyday by working to preserve these very freedoms for every American, regardless of race, creed, nationality, gender or ethnicity. We must, as citizens, all be vigilant guardians of these liberties. In doing so, we honor the sacrifices made on our behalf by our noble Veterans.
