Jack -- we did it!
11 days ago, we were really worried that crazy California would double your state income tax to pay for government single-payer, socialist healthcare.
Moments ago, Democrats killed their own crazy socialist healthcare bill because Democrats didn't have the votes needed to pass it -- and had to save themselves from MASSIVE embarrassment.
This was no accident: after we put the word out, Republicans like you across San Diego County answered the call, stepped up, and helped us defeat AB1400 in Sacramento by putting pressure on moderate Democrats to say NO.
Once we secured funding, we quickly launched our plan -- and then DOUBLED our efforts to make sure this bill didn't pass a full vote because you enabled us to succeed. And guess what? Our work paid off!
Of course, as much as I wish it was only good news, there's always a downside:
The extreme factions in the Democrat Party could try to push this bill again later -- and we have to be prepared to fight if and when that happens.
Will you help us be prepared to fight for whatever the Left throws at us next?

I can't emphasize this enough: now that AB1400 is dead after blocking Democrats from DOUBLING your tax bill, we need to be ready to fight again at a moment's notice -- and that means fully-funding our outreach programs like this.
