Friends,

Today, I'm thinking about the bravery and patriotism of the men and women who have served in our nation's military.

Washington state is home to more than 500,000 veterans, and many live with wounds we cannot see. The challenges all of our nation's veterans face don't end when they leave the armed forces -- and neither should our support.

Veterans Day isn't just about celebrating patriotism; we also need to recommit ourselves to making sure that our veterans have access to the resources and care they deserve. I'm proud of the work we've done and am ready to continue to make sure we provide medical care, housing, and education to the people who have put everything on the line to serve our country.

Our veterans have done so much for us, and continue to serve our country in so many ways. We need to work hard to take care of them in return. Thank you to all who have served, and happy Veterans Day.

Kim
