John, it's getting real in the Texas primary.
Today is the last day Texans can register to vote for the March 1 primary. Two weeks from today, in-person early voting begins! 🚨
We're working around the clock to get out the vote for our endorsed candidates — Greg Casar and Jessica Cisneros. But our expenses are piling up fast, which is why we have to ask:
As we approach a year since extreme winter weather left millions of Texans like myself without electricity and drinking water, the importance of these primaries cannot be overstated. For too long, members of Congress who were supposed to prioritize our communities put the interests of Big Oil and the fossil fuel industry first.
And with another unusual cold snap in the forecast for Texas, we're reminded of the urgent need for a Green New Deal to address the existential threat of climate change and create millions of good jobs in the process.
If they're elected to Congress, Greg and Jessica are ready to fight like hell for a Green New Deal. They’re generating tons of momentum on the ground. But special interest groups are watching, looking for an opportunity to preserve the status quo in corporate Democrats — like Jessica's opponent Henry Cuellar. We can't let them win!!!
In solidarity,
