Last week, GOP minority leader Kevin McCarthy raised $9.5 million dollars from a single fundraiser at the Trump Hotel in Washington, D.C – breaking his previous single-event fundraising record of $350,000.

Why does this matter? The money that McCarthy raised is going to be pumped right back into the campaigns of Republicans who are running against vulnerable NewDem incumbents. As the GOP zeros-in on taking back the House, NewDems in competitive districts have a target on their backs.

While Republicans lost the White House and Senate in 2020, they defied expectations and took a big bite out of our House Majority. Now, if Republicans flip roughly 5 seats, they’ll take back the House and put the brakes on our agenda. Full stop.
