Friend — I am respectfully asking you to make a $5 contribution to support my re-election campaign before tonight at midnight.

Because when we close the books on our January fundraising tonight, we want to be able to say we did all we could to hit our $110,000 goal. So we will need a lot of supporters like you, chipping in whatever you can afford, to hit it!

The truth is that the deck is stacked against Senate Democrats going into this year’s midterms. The majority is ours to lose, and we know that Mitch McConnell and National Republicans will throw millions of dollars into contesting every race, including ours. Hitting financial goals like this one will allow us to reach the voters we need to win.

On a more personal note, it would mean a lot to me to know you have my back during what is sure to be a difficult re-election.
