In May of 2018, I won a primary election that set me on my path to Congress.

Hey John, Rep. Lucy McBath here.

1,350 days ago, voters in Georgia 6th District saw my name on their ballot for the first time. Those voters nominated me as the Democratic candidate in 2018’s “blue wave” election, and that November they sent me to Congress in a district that used to be held by Newt Gingrich!

For those past 1,350 days, I’ve been attacked by Republicans and the NRA gun lobby, who have said that I won my seat in Congress because I “ran on emotion” or because I am a “minority female.”

Now, in just over 100 days – I’ll be on the ballot again in a must-win election to keep my seat in Congress. And John, I really could use your help.

I need your support to ensure that we can win this competitive re-election campaign and continue to lead the way on gun safety reform in Congress. Can you pitch in a symbolic donation of $13.50, or any amount – big or small – before tonight’s deadline?

Here’s the best link to contribute $13.50 or any amount if you can: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/lkm-email-0122

As I have been every one of the last 1,350 days, I remain humbled and awed by all of your support, and committed to the promise that I made to my son Jordan after he died – that I would fight every day to make sure other families wouldn’t have to feel the pain and loss that we have.

With love,

Lucy
