I'll be frank, with an evenly split Senate, any seat could decide the majority. That's why now more than ever, it's important not only to defend every Democrat held seat, but to make sure Democrats can win in competitive open seats too.

That's why I'm proud to support Cheri Beasley as she runs for Senate in North Carolina. From working as a public defender in Fayetteville to becoming the first African American woman to serve as chief justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court, Cheri is known as a trailblazer who can accomplish anything through hard work and faith.

In 2022, The Cook Political Report has called this race a "toss-up," making this seat in North Carolina one of our best opportunities to expand the Democratic Senate majority.
