Nothing makes the Left go ballistic more than hearing reports of
skyrocketing gun sales; after their heads spontaneous combust, they get to
work spreading the lie that defensive gun use is a myth. The LA Times is
the latest to jump into the mire with an Op-Ed urging people NOT to buy a
gun – we guess they forgot to check out that the CDC estimates that
defensive gun uses could be upwards of 2.5 million per year. And, given
that most incidents of defensive gun uses are never reported to law
enforcement, much less picked up by local or national media outlets, the
figures could conceivably be much higher. Check out this data visualization

In the aftermath of the San Jose City Council voting unanimously to mandate
liability insurance for every gun owner in the city, the media jumped on
this like a frenzied mob looking for comments from GOC. Our Executive
Director Sam Paredes was a consistent public voice on both state and
national media, speaking in strong opposition to this unconstitutional
maneuver:

“Politicians like Mayor Liccardo and his fellow city representatives are
too lazy to deal with the real issue of human behavior. It’s easier to
