We are hosting a Letter Writing Party TOMORROW (Feb 1) to submit letters to the editor that can be published in time for Transit Equity Day on Feb 4 (Rosa Parks' birthday).
We are especially excited to announce our guest speaker! Jeremiah Lowery, Director of Advocacy at the Washington Area Bicycle Association, will present his insights about key problems and solutions around transportation equity in Washington DC.
Celebrate Rosa Parks birthday with a bit of advocacy for a more sustainable world
In the lead-up to Transit Equity Day, we will write Letters to the Editor in newspapers and media outlets about climate change, environmental justice, and public transportation, and submit them to newspapers and media outlets. We'll give you all the tools you need to write your letter!
We hope you join us to learn more about these critical issues and to take action.
Our Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference, titled "Charting Our Course Toward a Livable Future" is coming up! It will take place on February 5th and 6th, and will feature tracks on connecting with communities, buildings skills, and healing. There will also be an art contest!
The CCL-DC leadership team will present draft 2022 goals for the chapter to discuss. All are invited to weigh in on what we want to accomplish this year!
