Tonight marks our first end-of-month deadline of the midterm election year, but before I ask you to pitch in to help us hit our goal, [[link removed]?] I hope you’ll give me a chance to explain why this request is so important.
Thanks to this incredible grassroots team, we overcame the millions of dollars right-wing groups spent attacking Democrats in 2020 — helping send Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to the White House and Democratic majorities to Congress.
Since then, we’ve made some incredible progress together — from providing folks with critical relief checks and helping more folks get tested and vaccinated against COVID-19 through the American Rescue Plan, to creating good-paying jobs that will rebuild our nation’s infrastructure and create a pathway to a clean energy future. Now, it’s time to keep delivering.
We still have so much work ahead of us to fulfill our promise to America’s working families — from protecting voting rights to lowering the price of prescription drugs and expanding affordable health care. But this work won’t be possible if we lose our slim Senate majority, and it could all come down to Wisconsin.
The Cook Political Report has named Ron Johnson’s race one of a handful of toss-up races that could decide control of the Senate majority — setting the stage to make Wisconsin’s Senate race one of the most expensive and competitive battlegrounds in the country.
It’ll take a lot of resources to overcome right-wing megadonors, flip this seat, and protect our fragile Democratic majority so we can keep building on our progress for working families. But I’ve seen what this incredible grassroots team is capable of when we stand together, so I’m asking for your support once again:
