I'm worried, friend. With hours left to meet my first End of Month fundraising goal of the Election Year, I'm still falling $46,871 short. Please, let me explain why this is such a dire moment:

In the race that will determine Senate control, I'm neck and neck with Marco Rubio – and top Democrats like Fred Guttenberg have said that "we need an advocate like Val Demings, whose strength and integrity are exactly what Florida needs to replace him."

The problem is that the GOP is stacking the cards against me because they KNOW this race is Democrats' best chance to expand our Senate majority. Far-right outside groups are dumping millions into Florida, and the Senate Republican campaign arm is funding a new ad buy to blanket the airwaves with personal attacks against me.

I'm looking at my fundraising numbers now, and I won't be able to defend myself from these GOP attacks if I don't reach my goal in the next few hours.

Missing this goal and falling behind in this race could mean handing the Senate right back to Mitch McConnell, so I have to ask: Will you donate $5 right now to help me defeat Marco Rubio, flip Florida blue and expand our Senate majority?
